Entries Open: Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 9:00 AM
Entries Close: Monday, June 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM

Field Limit: 120 contestants | 60 contestants | 45 contestants | 15 contestants

Tournament Type: Major

Tournament Eligibility: All players must be a resident of Texas and have not yet enrolled in college. An active membership with the Texas Junior Golf Alliance is required.

Entry Procedure: Players in the Boys Division with exemptions will be added to the field while players without an exemption must qualify through one of the Texas Junior Amateur qualifiers. Players in the Girls Division as well as the Boys and Girls 14 & under Divisions will be added based off the LJT Priority Entry System once registration closes

Practice Round Information: Players will be responsible for making their own tee times with the club no earlier than seven days prior to the practice round date.

Registration Information: Players will receive tee gifts in the scoring area following their first round.

Starting Times: Pairings will be available on Thursday, July 23 at www.txga.org. Copies will be available near the first tees starting Monday, July 27. Final round pairings will be available after the completion of the round and will be redrawn according to scores from the previous rounds.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy: The cancellation deadline is 10 days prior to the tournament start date. For refund details, please check LJT Championship Policies.

Caddies: Players are NOT permitted a caddie for the Texas Junior Amateur.

Transportation: Players will be required to walk during the competition, unless acting under the discretion of an LJT rules official. Non-motorized push/pull carts will be permitted during the championship. Spectator carts will be allowed and will be limited to two carts per group each day. Carts can be rented from the club for $30 and spectators are required to abide by the LJT Spectator Policy when operating the cart.

Score Posting

The Legends Junior Tour will post all tournament scores to player’s GHIN Handicaps. Players with handicaps associated with their accounts will be updated after each round and will not have to post scores themselves. Player of The Year Points & Exemptions

Points towards the LJT Player of the Year Standings will be awarded to the top half of the tournament field and will be awarded following the final results. Exemptions into future LJT Majors and Invitationals will be updated and letters will be sent out letting exempt players know when they can sign up. All ties for points and exemptions will be retained. Results will be sent to the AJGA, Junior Golf Scoreboard and Golfweek following the final round and updated on their end accordingly.

Rules of Golf

The championship will be contested under the 2019 Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and R&A, its interpretations and clarifications, 2020 Legends Junior Tour Local Rules and Terms of Competition and any local rules given to the player on their first tee.
