Entry Fee: $275 per player

Eligibility:  Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified GHIN Handicap index. Please reference Policies and Procedures for further details.
 
Championship Information

Field Limit: Lowest handicap indexes in multiples of 8 with a maximum of 88 players. In the event the championship becomes over-subscribed, entries will be accepted in order of handicap index based upon the June 15, 2017 USGA Handicap Revision.
 
Format:  The 32 players with the lowest qualifying scores will fill the Championship flight and contend for the title. The qualifying round is optional for all but the players with the 32 lowest handicap indexes. The 16 players eliminated in the first round of Championship flight match play may participate in an 18-hole Stroke Play consolation round. Remaining players will be flighted into seven flights of eight based on handicap. The four players eliminated in the first round will proceed to a consolation match play bracket for each flight.
 
What's Included: The entry fee includes greens, carts, and range fees for the practice round and all championship rounds. The entry fee also includes a championship gift, player’s reception and awards lunch.

Registration Information: Player registration will be held on Monday, July 17th between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official at the host club that she is unable to make the registration deadline, but will be competing in the championship. Those players not contacting a TGA official by 2:00 PM are subject to forfeiting their playing position.    
 
Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Traditions Club on Monday, July 17th. Players must contact the host club golf shop and identify themselves as 96th WTGA State Amateur Championship Players to schedule a practice round. 
 
Prizes/Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the Champion and Runner-up in the Championship Flight. Flights 1-7 Champions, Runner-up and Consolation winners will be awarded.

Pairings Information:  Tee times / pairings for the first round will be posted on the TGA website by Thursday, July 13th.
 
Transportation:  Caddies are permitted. Players may ride in golf carts during the practice round and a stipulated round. Caddies must walk the course. Established pace of play guidelines are in effect regardless of any player’s decision to walk, rid or utilize a caddie. Carts are limited to two (2) riders and a maximum of two (2) carts per group. Players MUST share carts if applicable. Separate carts may be assigned for Championship Flight semi-final matches and Championship matches in all flights.

Electronic Measuring Devices:  Electronic devices that measure distance only are allowed for this championship.

USGA Groove Condition of Competition (Not in Effect): The USGA groove rules effective January 1, 2010 are NOT in effect for this competition.
