Lori Tatum - Breaking 100 Campaign Leader

Tatum (L) with the 2015 Texas Challenge winning team representing LPGA / USGA Girls Golf of Houston

Lori Tatum grew up in Baytown before playing collegiate golf at New Mexico State University.  She won several collegiate titles including her conference championship and earned 2nd team All-American honors.  After completing her degree, she played three years on the LPGA tour and several more on the Futures tour where she won three professional titles. She was inducted into the New Mexico State University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995.

Following her time as a touring pro, Lori embarked on a career as a golf instructor.  She is currently a Teaching Pro at the Kingwood Golf Advantage School and co-director of the LPGA / USGA Girls Golf of Houston. Lori was mentored and coached by top 100 Teacher Kevin Kirk.  She and fellow Breaking 100 campaign leader Aurora Kirchner-McClain coached Team Texas to the PGA Junior League Championship in 2015.  The Kingwood team finished 6th out of more than 1,500 teams that participated in Junior League golf.

Lori enjoys empowering women to play this great game taking them from beginning golfers to 20-handicappers and below, all the while building a passion for the game. Lori continues to give back to the game she loves and is one of 11 teaching pros pledging to give 100 Lessons to Women and Girls to raise funds and awareness for Women’s Initiatives to grow the game.  To support Lori in her effort to expand the game for girls, click here.
