DALLAS - Brielle Richardson from Frisco and Camillie Nassardeen from Allen are the latest recipients of the TGA's "Winners' Program" Scholarships. Both are high school seniors from the LPGA-USGA Dallas Chapter who have a passion for golf and excel on the course and in the classroom.
Formerly a staple of the Women's Texas Golf Association since 2008 and now a part of the TGA Foundation, the Winners' Program has given more than $130,000 in grants and scholarships to provide young Texas girls the opportunity to play the game they love.
In addition to Richardson and Nassardeen's $1,000 scholarships, the Foundation this year awarded four LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Texas Chapters $2,700 in grants for program and facilities upgrades. The four selected include Piney Woods Girls Golf Program, Girls Golf of Houston Chapter, Girl's Golf Dallas and Girls' Golf of San Antonio.
Through the TGA Foundation and Alliance Cup tournament, the Winners' Program benefits girls aged 7-17.
Richardson will attend the University of Texas at Dallas in the fall and has played with the LPGA Dallas site for six years. She was in the Ebony Ladies Golf League for four years. Nassardeen (shown above) will pursue a degree in Nursing at Collin County Community College. As a homeschool student, Nassardeen was involved in theater and volunteered with Girls Golf, The First Tee of Greater Dallas and in the Allen community.
