CGF to Host Rik Massengale Four-Ball

CGF to Hold First Ever Championship

The College Golf Fellowship is proud to announce the formation of the first ever Rik Massengale Four-Ball Championship.  Bridlewood Golf Club will host the championship from August 12-14, 2013.  The championship is named after Rik Massengale, a multiple time winner on the PGA Tour and former executive director of the organization.

Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound, TX is set to host this year’s championship and will be a great challenge for the field.  Players will have to navigate through 25 acres of lakes and the meandering Timber Creek in order to have success on this course.  The other major feature of Bridlewood is the closely mown fairways and chipping areas that surround most greens.  These short game areas will have a great affect on determing a champion.

Entries are open to male amateur golfers who are currently on a college varsity golf team roster, or will be in the upcomming semester.  The CGF Tournament Committee reserves the right to select teams to be in the field.  The championship will be limited to 48 teams and will consist of 36 holes of four-ball stroke play.  There will also be an unofficial, individual competition for most holes scored under par during the championship.
