The Lee Duo Lead Heading into the Final Round

Fredericksburg, TX – As the second round comes to a close on beautiful Boot Ranch, the Hal Sutton designed par-71 layout in Fredericksburg, players prepared to enter the third and final day of the Texas Golf Association€’s Father-Son Championship.
The Championship Flight is led by Randy and Walker Lee after the first 36 holes. Randy and Walker turned in a second round score of 67 to bring their two day total to 134. The pair of 67s boosts the team into first place, but only holds a 1-shot lead over John and Cain Sconiers. The Aubes are sitting 2 shots back of the Lees and one back of the Sconiers.
Mike and Andy Kampen lead the Hogan Flight after the second round at the Father-Son. After carding a second round, 64, team Kampen, holds onto the top spot with a 36-hole net total of 130. Tim and Darrell Bowe of Houston are on their heels with a two-day net total of 132.
The Nelson Flight, led by Mike and Jason Scoggins of Dallas, continue to hold a commanding lead as they enter the third and final round. Carding a second round net total of an 8-under par 63 to match Friday’s score, the duo will tee off on Sunday with an 8 shot lead over their next closest competitors, the Reids.
Excitement filled the air for The Crenshaw Flight this morning as Jackie Schneider of Midland made his second Hole-in-One is less than just two weeks.  Schneider hit a beautiful shot with a 3-hybrid on the 159-yard, Par 3, seventh hole.  Team Rowe-Mattingly will feel the pressure to perform well for the third day in a row. Trey Rowe and Randy Mattingly turned in a second round total of 61 to add to their first round total of net 64. Rick and Richman Houston of Midland are only two shots back and will be looking to make a few more birdies in the final round.
Bob and Grayson West, the duo from Port Neches and Prosper, respectively, take the top spot over Friday’s leaders, the Scully’s. After firing a second round net total of 9-under par, 62, the Wests hold a two shot lead over Joel and Keith Scully of Austin. Paul and Martin Meredith are in the hunt as well and sit just 5 shots back of Team West.
