Wood and Hare Win 2015 Texas Stableford Handicap Championship
 
KERRVILLE – Denny Wood and Rick Hare, of Montgomery held on to their 36 Hole lead to claim the 2015 Texas Stableford Handicap Championship by one point at Riverhill CC in Kerrville.

Wood and Hare, who also won the Hogan Flight, finished the day with 61 points, 3.25 under quota for the day and 9.25 for the Championship. The team from Montgomery narrowly escaped the team of Jamey Freisleben and Russell Schroeder. Feisleben and Schroeder, also in the Hogan Flight, carded 66 points, 7.75 over quota for the day and a total of 8.25 points over quota for the Championship.

 Don Cole, of Aledo, and Michael Mowles, of Ft. Worth, claim the Nelson Flight with a final total of 7.5 points over quota. The team Ken Johnson and Jason Williamson finished second with a final round score of 56 points, 9.5 over quota on the day and 2.5 points over quota for the Championship.

Ron Keeny, of Granbury and Steve Taylor, of Keller, came from behind to win the Crenshaw Flight with a final total of 2.75 under quota. The team of Keeny and Taylor carded an impressive 50 points, 12.5 over their Final Round quota. The team of Ken Kinsey and Mark Moore finished in second by a quarter of a point with a final total of 3 under quota.   

Chad Conn, of Mansfield and Daren Calhoun, of the Woodlands came from behind to take the Kite Flight. Conn and Calhoun carded 44 points on the day, 10.25 over their final round quota, and 1.75 over quota for the tournament.

The Texas Golf Association would like the entire staff and membership from Riverhill Country Club. The club proved once again to be a gracious host. The 2016 Stableford Championship will once again be contested at Riverhill Country Club.
