Upgrades Available For USGA Tournament Management Product

The Texas Golf Association recently announced Member Clubs that upgrade to the USGA Tournament Management Club Premium version by March 31 will receive priority access for enrollment and training. The recently released software is a major upgrade to the Tournament Pairing Programs (TPP Client and TPP Online), which will be gradually phased out.

A new benefit included in current membership agreements, the more than 500 TGA Member Clubs across the state can begin using the superior golf event management technology immediately. Powered by Golf Genius, the USGA Tournament Management Product is completely web-based. The online system provides all the necessary tools for golf shops at private clubs or public facilities to set up and run member events, leagues and outings. The new product significantly reduces the workload of golf shops. It also comes with easy-to-follow printed collateral, including fully customizable scorecards, cart signs, bag tags, locker labels, tee sheets, alpha lists and much more.

The new system mirrors TPP in many formats, but it’s a better, more user-friendly product. The shift from TPP to USGA Tournament Management is part of each TGA Member Club’s contracted membership agreement. There is no extra charge for “Club” version of the new system.

There is, however, an available upgrade to the USGA Tournament Management Club Premium version. In addition to all the features listed above in the standard version, the Club Premium product includes capabilities to enhance the golfer experience with a mobile app, live scoring, live TV leaderboards, online registration and payments and a customizable website for each event, league or outing. The Premium version carries a $2,500 annual charge.

Part of the transition from TPP to the USGA Tournament Management Product involves proper training from the TGA Staff. Training sessions are free and will be conducted throughout 2017. These training sessions are filling up fast. To contact TGA Director of Technical Services Shona DeMint and set up your training session, please CLICK HERE.

The TGA looks forward to assisting all Member Clubs with the transition into the USGA Tournament Management Product. If your club currently uses TPP Client or TPP Online, that product will be available and fully supported through 2017.
