Kerrville –Tony Gann and Korby Keeney lead the 2018 Texas Stableford Championship at Riverhill Country Club overall, shooting 11.5 points over their second round quota.

Tony Gann and Korby Keeney, both of Mansfield, scored an impressive 56 points on the day for an overall 10.5 points over their quota to lead the Texas Stableford. Trailing by five points are James Blanton of Arlington and James Switzer of Fort Worth.

 Friesleben of Montgomery and Schroeder of LaPorte stay atop the Nelson Flight while scoring 59 points ending five points over their quota overall. Joey Hall and Michael Loftin of Katy, are close behind by being half a point over their quota overall. 

In the Kite Flight, Brian and Larry Williford of Mansfield take the lead after shooting 43 points in the second round, resulting in a score one point over their quota. Three points behind the Williford team,  are Mason Standley of New Braunfels and Steve Taylor of Keller being 2 points below their quota after two rounds.

In the Hogan Flight, Zac Hoerster of Fredericksburg and Blake Smith of Austin gain the lead by scoring 1.5 points over their quota in the second round. Denny Wood of Montgomery and David Rhodes of College Station are sitting two points back from the lead+, at half a point over their quota, going into the final round.

Riverhill Country Club is a Byron Nelson-Joe Finger creation, made in 1974. It brings a challenging test of golf and has been rated in the top fifty golf courses in Texas year in and year out. Highly known for not only its scenic views, but also for Byron Nelson saying when asked which golf course he would prefer to play, “This might surprise you, but I would pick Riverhill Country Club.”
