Nolte and Aday lead the 2018 Women's Four-Ball Championship

Frisco – Brooke Nolte of Melissa and Gracie Aday of McKinney hold first place with an 8-under par, 64 after the first round of the 2018 Women’s Four-Ball Championship on the Fazio course at Stonebriar Country Club. Faith Summers of San Antonio and Kenzie Wright of McKinney, Kennedy Pedigo of Fort Worth and Serena Shah of Carrollton, Sydney Garber of Fate and Madigan Murray of McKinney are tied for second place at 7-under, 65.

Southern Methodist University teammates, Pedigo and Shah hold the net score lead for the first flight at 8-under.
Nolte and Aday stayed consistent at 4-under on the front and back nine including an eagle on number 7, a 434 yard par 5.
This year’s Championship has 5 flights. There will be one overall gross winner, and the top 2 gross and net scores from each flight with be awarded.

In the second flight, Jewell Malick and Anna Shultz, both from Heath, are tied with Cynthia Dougherty of Corpus Christi and Carolyn Creekmore of Dallas. Both teams shot 1-under par, 71 and lead the second flight for gross score. Sisters, Caitlyn and Grace Cassity, from Katy lead the second flight for net score at 6-under, 66.

In the third flight, Kim Cure of Iowa Park and Dana Huffman of Richardson and Jeannie Goade of Farmers Branch and Jennifer Lazar of Frisco are tied for the gross and net lead at even par and 7-under par, respectively.

The fourth flight is led by Patrcia Carnes and Risa Tyo of McKinney at 4-over par gross par. Susan Fullerton and Debbie Rabinowitz of Plano are tied with Teressa Dyson and Kristi Webster of McKinney for the lead of net score at 7-under.

Mary Calcote and Judy Tanner of Huntsville hold the lead for both gross and net scores of flight 5 at 5-over gross and 11-under net.

The Four-Ball Championship is two-day team event. Each player plays her own ball and the lower score of the partners is the team score for the hole. The 50 team field was pre-flighted by handicap index into five flights. All teams are competing within their flights and for the title of Overall Gross.
