GOLF COURSE: South Shore Harbour Golf Club, originally designed by David Marr and Jay Riviere, was renovated and augmented by Jeffery Blume in the late 1990s. The Shore and Harbour Courses have evolved into a traditional course with rolling hills, plenty of penalty areas and a steady wind off the bay. The routing is sure to test each player’s mental and physical skills. The Women’s Eclectic competitors played the Shore-Harbour courses at a distance of 5,296 yards in Round 1.

WEATHER: Early morning clouds and fog turned into a nice afternoon with partly sunny skies. The temperature was a nice welcome with a high in the low 80’s. The ESE prevailing wind was coming off the Galveston Bay at 8 mph throughout the round.

IN CONTENTION: Tuesday’s final round is set for a spectacular finish as both the Overall Gross and Overall Net Championship leaderboards are crowded. Chasing Cassity in the Overall Gross Championship are Anna Schultz from Heath, Jennifer Hoyt from Horseshoe Bay, Karen Northcutt from The Woodlands, Nancy Beck from Mansfield and Meghan Moake from Houston. Behind Kuo in the Overall Net Championship include Sherry Miller from Houston, Lindsey Mitchell from Montgomery, Caitlyn Cassity from Katy, Karen Northcutt from The Woodlands, and Sara Devilliers from Houston.

WHAT’S NEXT: Tuesday’s final round will begin with a 9:00 AM shotgun. Following play, there will be lunch served in the dining room as well as a brief awards presentation for the Overall and Flight Winners.
