Entry & Eligibility Information
Tournament Eligibility: The Girls Match Play Championship is an exemption-based tournament for girls that are high school graduates of 2021 or later. Players earn exemptions into the field by playing in various Texas Junior Golf Alliance events or qualifying through the Player of the year Standings. Championship Information
Field Limit: 16 Players
Tournament Fee: $0
Format/Field Size: The championship is schedule for single-elimination match play with the winners advancing to the next round until the champion is crowned on Sunday, September 6. The bracket will be set by a random drawing on Wednesday, September 3.
Cancellation / Withdrawal Policy: Please alert the Legends Junior Tour if you need to withdraw from the event so that we can reach out to fill the spot.
Caddies / Transportation: Caddies will be allowed for the event and anybody can caddie for the player. Both players and caddies are required to walk during each round. Spectator carts will not be permitted for the championship.

*Should a winner of an LJT qualifying event be exempt or not eligible, below is a breakdown of how that exemption will be decided.
1. Champion of qualifying event
2. If champion is already exempt or not eligible, that exemption will go to the next eligible player.
3. Should there be a tie for the next eligible player at a qualifying event, the person with the highest rank on the LJT Player of the Year Standings will receive the exemption.
4. Should there be a tie for any LJT Player of the Year Standing exemptions, the exemption will go to the oldest person, based on high school graduation year.
5. Should there be a tie for high school graduation year, lot will decide the exemption.
