Fawcett and Martin Win TGA Fall Series – DFW #1

Briefly: Frisco’s Scott Fawcett put together three impressive rounds with a total of thirteen birdies and one eagle to win the championship. After struggling mentally at the Texas Mid-Amateur, Fawcett said he put in some work on his mental game “trying to pay a little bit more attention”. Fawcett carded a 1-under-par 71 to close out the tournament finishing with 9-under-par 207.

In the Women’s Division, Delaney Martin of Boerne carded a 12-over-par 84, in the final round to win with a 29-over-par 245. For Martin who just began her freshman year on the Women’s Golf Team at the University of Houston, it meant a lot “to be able to come out and play an actual tournament round”. She relished the challenge saying it “really helps our game whenever we get to compete against other girls”.
