Massey and Cox Win TGA Fall Series – DFW #2

Briefly: Fort Worth’s Brandon Massey put together three impressive rounds with a total of ten birdies to win the tournament with a four-over-par 220. “I played really solid and hit pretty much every fairway and hit a lot of greens”, Massey said about his first round. He then stated, “The last two days, I struggled to hit the fairway and had to make pars from the trees.” He was still able to get the job done this week at Hackberry Creek Country Club. Massey carded a five-over-par 77 to close out the tournament.

In the Women’s Division, Lauren Cox of Orange carded a three-over-par 75 in the final round to win. “I played consistent and kept myself in play,” Cox credited her challenging and windy final round score. Cox carded seven birdies and one eagle on her way to victory with a total score of five-over-par 221.
