Anna Morales Wins 2021 Women’s Eclectic

GALVESTON – Anna Morales of Austin captured the 2021 Women’s Eclectic at Moody Gardens Golf Club after besting Ennis’ Olive Henry in a one-hole playoff by shooting an Eclectic score of three-under-par 69. Morales improved her Eclectic score by six strokes during Tuesday’s final round. Henry was tied for the lead after the first round with Cynthia Dougherty, who finished tied for third with Caitlyn Cassity of Katy and Meghan Moake of Houston. Patricia Walters captured the Overall Net Championship with a combined Net Eclectic score of 11-under-par 61. Walters, of Cat Spring, carded seven birdies and one eagle to beat out four others by one stroke. Peggy Mullarkey and Jane London, of The Woodlands, Dora Daniluk of Katy and Olivia Campbell, of Franklin, finished tied for second with a combined Net Eclectic score of 10-under-par 62.

GOLF COURSE: Moody Gardens Golf Course is Galveston’s premier public seaside links course featuring paspalum fairways that are lined with over 500 palm trees and shorebird habitat. WEATHER: Yesterday’s sunny skies and windy afternoon returned again for the final round with consistent winds around 16 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. The high temperature for Tuesday reached 72 degrees.

 

WHAT’S NEXT: The 2021 Women’s Partnership heads to Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville, TX. The two-person quota event will take place on April 12-13.
