In Contention: The Boys 15-18 Division was decided after a grueling three-hole playoff between first round leader Grant Doggett and Brooks Pawlak. Doggett and Pawlak both finished at even-par 144 for the tournament and a playoff was needed. The sudden death playoff was played on the par-4 18th hole which played 449 yards. The playoff was decided on the third playoff hole when Doggett made par. The first two playoff holes were split with a pair of birdies on the first and pars on the second. In third place was Carter Patterson followed by four players tied for fourth place.

In the Girls 12-18 Division Mia Nixon held onto her five-stroke lead heading into the final round winning by an impressive margin. Her final round score of 2-over par 74 did not match her opening round score but was more than enough. Finishing in second place was Morgan Ankenbrandt who had the only under par round in the girl’s division on Tuesday. In third place was Jenna Madden followed by Yvonne Chamness and Mallory Mathews in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Rhett O’Rear defeated Coltrane Mittag on the first playoff hole to win the Boys 14 & Under Division. After the two battled all day and both players posted a tournament total of 1-over par 145, a sudden death playoff was needed to determine a champion. After a stellar iron shot into the green on the first playoff hole, the par-4 10th, O’Rear was able to make par and secure the win. Rohan Shastry finished third, Reese Roberts fourth and Brody Knowlton rounded out the top five.

In addition to the overall champions, the low final round score was also recognized in each division. These players were recognized by the Flodder Financial Group for their commitment to finishing the tournament strong. By scorecard playoff, Andrew Hill who shot 2-under par 70 today was recognized in the Boys 15-18 Division. Morgan Akenbrandt was recognized in the Girls 12-18 Division after a 1-under par 71 and Reese Roberts in the Boys 14 & Under Division with a 2-under par 70.
