Entry & Eligibility Information

Tournament Eligibility: The Jackie Burke Cup Matches are invite only featuring the top 12 players from North Texas versus the top 12 players from South Texas in a Ryder-Cup style competition.

Entry Procedure: Players that earn a spot on their respective team will be sent an invitation beginning Oct. 24. Players will be invited based on the LJT Player of the Year Standings after the Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational. Teams will be made up of eight players from the Boys 15-18 Division, two from the Girls 12-18 Division and two from the Boys 14 & Under Division.

Championship Information

Field Limit: 24 Players
Tournament Fee: $285

Format: The matches are in teams with players from North Texas competing against players from South Texas. Saturday will feature 36 holes with Four-Ball Matches in the morning and Foursome Matches in the afternoon. Sunday will be Singles Matches in the morning.

Practice Round Information: Players will be placed into practice round groups based on their teams inside the practice round window on Friday, November 11.

Registration Information: Players may pick up their tournament attire from the Legends Junior Tour on Friday, November 11 after their practice rounds.

Starting Times: Starting times for Saturday’s Four-Ball Matches will be announced and posted on Friday, November 11 in the evening.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy: The cancellation deadline is 10 days prior to the tournament start date. For refund details, please check LJT Championship Policies.

Caddies: Players will be permitted a caddie for the championship and anyone will be eligible to caddie. The player is responsible for supplying their own caddie for the championship and the caddie must abide by all club and LJT Policies.

Transportation: Players and caddies will be required to walk during the competition, unless acting under the discretion of an LJT rules official. Non-motorized push/pull carts will be permitted during the championship.

Lunch: Food will be provided for all players during the championship. Lunch will be available at the club during the windows on the schedule of events.

Rules of Golf

The championship will be contested under the 2019 Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and R&A, its interpretations and clarifications, 2022 Legends Junior Tour Local Rules and Terms of Competition and any local rules given to the player on their first tee.
