Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: January 10, 2022 at 9:00 AM

Entries Close: February 23, 2022 at 5:00 PM

Withdraw Date: February 23, 2022 at 5:00 PM

Entry Fee: $240 per player

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified WHS Handicap Index. Please reference TGA Women’s Competition Policies for further details.

Entry Procedure: Entries are accepted in order of entry except if the event is oversubscribed in the first 24 hours. In this case, the field will be filled by blind draw from the entries returned during the first 24 hours. Any player not drawn will be placed on the waiting list in blind draw order. All subsequent entries will be placed on the waiting list in order of entry.

Championship Information

Field Size: The field is limited to 112 players.

Format: 2-day individual Eclectic. Each player takes her better hole score over the two days. Flights predetermined by March 9, 2022 WHS handicap index.

What’s Included: The entry fee includes greens, cart and range fees for the practice round and all championship rounds. The entry fee will also include lunch after the first round and an awards lunch after the final round.

Hotel: There is no host hotel for the Women’s Eclectic. TGA Members can take advantage of Affinity Travel Benefits by utilizing their hotel search engine by clicking here.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Vaaler Creek Golf Club on Sunday, March 13. Players must contact the host club golf shop and identify themselves as 2022 Women’s Eclectic players to schedule a practice round.

Registration Information: Player registration will be held on Sunday, March 13 between 12:00 and 3:30 PM. If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official that she is unable to make the registration deadline but will be competing in the championship.

Pairings Information: Starting holes and pairings for the first round will be made available online at www.txga.org no later than Friday, March 11 by 5:00 PM. Final round starting times and pairings will be made available following the first round of play.

Prizes/Awards: Merchandise gift certificates redeemable at the host club golf shop will be awarded within each flight. Overall gross and overall net champions will be awarded.

Player of the Year Points: State Player of the Year points will be awarded to the top finishers.

Policies & Procedures
To ensure that competitors have the best possible experience when competing in the championship, it is helpful to be knowledgeable of Texas Golf Association (TGA) Policies and Procedures, Terms of Competition and Local Rules (Hard Card), as established by the association. Caddies: Caddies are not permitted during the championship.

Transportation:  Players are encouraged to ride carts during all championship rounds. Cart fees for all championship rounds are included in the entry fee. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at one time and two (2) carts per group. Players must share. Riding on the back of golf carts is prohibited.

TGA Medical Cart Request Policy: Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided.
