Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: February 7, 2022 at 9:00am
Entries Close: March 23, 2022 at 5:00pm
Withdraw Date: March 23, 2022 at 5:00pm

Entry Fee: $480 per team

Eligibility: Entries are open to any female amateur golfer, who has reached her 25th birthday by April 4, 2022, with a certified WHS Handicap Index. Please reference TGA Women’s Competition Policies for further details.

Entry Procedure: Entries accepted in order of entry except if the event is oversubscribed in the first 24 hours. In this case, the field will be filled by blind draw from the entries returned during the first 24 hours. Any team not drawn will be placed on the waiting list in blind draw order. All subsequent entries will be placed on the waiting list in order of entry.

Championship Information

Field Size: The field is limited to 64 teams (128 players).

Format: 54-holes of net four-ball match play. Two competitors play as partners in a match against two other competitors playing as partners, with each player playing her own ball. The teams will be pre-flighted into flights of eight based on the combined team handicap index. Maximum spread of partners’ index of 8.0 will be used for the purpose of creating flights and scoring. The four teams eliminated in the first round of each flight will proceed to a consolation match play bracket.

The March 30, 2022 WHS Handicap Index will be used for flights and scoring.

What’s Included: The entry fee includes greens, cart, and range fees for the practice round and all championship rounds. The entry fee will also include lunch after the each round an awards lunch after the final round.

Hotel Information: There is no host hotel for the Women’s Partnership Match Play. TGA members can take advantage of Affinity Travel Benefits by utilizing their hotel search engine by clicking here.

Registration Information: There will be no player registration for the Women’s Partnership Match Play. Players may pick up their tee gift in scoring after the first round.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club on Sunday, April 3. Players may contact the host club golf shop beginning on Sunday, March 27 and identify themselves as 2022 Women’s Partnership Match Play players to schedule a practice round.

Pairings Information: Starting times and pairings for the first round will be made available online at www.txga.org no later than Friday, April 8 by 5:00pm Starting times and pairings for the second and final round will be made available following the previous days round.

Prizes/Awards: Trophies will be awarded for the champions of each flight and consolation flight winners.

Policies & Procedures

To ensure that competitors have the best possible experience when competing in the championship, it is helpful to be knowledgeable of Texas Golf Association (TGA) Policies and Procedures, Terms of Competition and Local Rules (Hard Card), as established by the association. Caddies:  Caddies are not permitted during the championship.

Transportation:  Players are encouraged to ride carts during all championship rounds. Cart fees for all championship rounds are included in the entry fee. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at one time and two (2) carts per group. Players must share. Riding on the back of golf carts is prohibited.

Electronic Measuring Devices: Electronic devices that measure distance only are allowed for this championship.

USGA Groove Condition of Competition: The USGA Groove Rules effective January 1, 2010 are  not in effect for this competition.

TGA Medical Cart Request Policy

Spectator carts are prohibited. However, spectators in accordance with ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season.
