Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 9:00 AM
Entries Close: Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 5:00 PM

Entry Fee: $500 per team

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified WHS Handicap Index. Please reference TGA Women’s Competition Policies for further details, including policies and procedures, and terms of competition.

Entry Procedure: Entries accepted in groups of six (6) teams by order of entry except if the event is oversubscribed in the first 24 hours. In this case, the field will be filled by blind draw from the entries returned during the first 24 hours. Any team not drawn will be placed on the waiting list in blind draw order. All subsequent entries will be placed on the waiting list in order of entry.

Championship Information

Field Size: The field is limited to 48 teams (96 players)

*NEW* Format: 45 holes of Round Robin Net Four-Ball Match Play. Two competitors play as partners in a 9-hole match against two other competitors playing as partners, with each player playing her own ball. The lowest net score of the partners is the score for the hole. Each hole will be worth 2 points, a tie will be worth 1 point. The team with the most points after the 45 holes will be the flight winner. The teams will be pre-flighted into flights of six (6) based on the combined team handicap index. Maximum spread of partners’ index of 8.0 will be used for the purpose of creating flights and scoring.

The April 12, 2023, WHS Handicap Index will be used for flights and scoring.

In the case of a BYE in a flight, the team will compete against par to earn points.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at The Hideout Golf Club & Resort on Sunday, April 16. Players may contact the host golf shop and identify themselves as 2023 Women’s Partnership Match Play participant to schedule a practice round.

Registration Information: Player registration will be held on Sunday, April 16 between 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM. If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official at the host club that she is unable to make the registration deadline but will be competing in the championship.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: Starting times and pairings for all the matches will be made available online at www.txga.org no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, April 14. A pairings reminder with be sent each night after the matches are completed for the day.

Caddies: Caddies are not permitted.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius user profile or by contacting the TGA Staff Contact directly. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942 or email the TGA Staff Contact directly. Only withdrawals on the day of the competition should be directed to the host club golf shop.

Transportation: Players may walk or ride at their own discretion. Cart fees are included in the players entry fee. Spectators must walk at all times.

Medical Cart: Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season.
