Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: June 7, 2023 at 9:00 AM
Entries Close: July 19, 2023 at 5:00 PM
Withdraw Deadline: July 19, 2023 at 5:00 PM

Entry Fee: $480 per team

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified WHS Handicap index. Please reference TGA Women’s Competition Policies for further details, including policies and procedures, and terms of competition.

Entry Procedure: The field will be established in the order in which entries are received. In the event the championship becomes over-subscribed, acceptance of entries will be based on the lowest combined team WHS Handicap Index as of Wednesday, July 19. The maximum spread of partners’ index is 8.0.

Championship Information

Format/Field Size: Play will be contested over 36 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. The field is limited to 50 teams.

Divisions: The field will be split up into two divisions; Championship and Flights. The ten (10) teams with the lowest combined handicap indexes will be required to play from the championship tees. Those who do not wish to play in the championship division will be pre-flighted based on their combined handicap indexes. The maximum spread of partners’ index of 8.0 will be used for the purpose of creating flights.

The deadline to change division is Wednesday, July 26th at 5:00 PM.

What’s Included: The entry fee includes greens, carts, and range fees for the practice round and all championship rounds. The entry fee also includes a championship gift, and lunch after all championship rounds.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club – Blackjack Course on Sunday, July 30th beginning at 12:00 PM. Starting from June 21st, players must contact the host club golf shop at (210) 582-6720 to schedule their practice round and should identify themselves as 2023 Women’s Four-Ball participants.

Registration Information: Player registration will be held on Sunday, July 30th between 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM. If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official that she is unable to make the registration deadline but will be competing in the championship.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: Starting times and pairings for the First Round will be made available online at www.txga.org no later than Friday, July 28th by 5:00 PM. Final Round starting time and pairings will be available in the evening preceding play (approximately one hour after the completion of play) online at www.txga.org.

Caddies: Caddies are NOT permitted during the championship.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius user profile or by contacting the TGA Staff Contact directly. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942 or email the TGA Staff Contact directly. Only withdrawals on the day of the competition should be directed to the host club golf shop.

Transportation:  Players are encouraged to ride carts during all championship rounds. Cart fees for all championship rounds are included in the entry fee. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at one time and two (2) carts per group. Players must share. Riding on the back of golf carts is prohibited.

Prizes/Awards: Merchandise gift certificates redeemable at the host club golf shop will be awarded to the overall gross champions and the top gross champions in each flight.

Player of the Year Points: Statewide and Senior Player of the Year points will be awarded to the top finishers.

Medical Cart: Spectators in accordance with ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season.
