Entry Fee:  $300 per player

Eligibility:  Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified GHIN Handicap index. Please reference Policies and Procedures for further details.
Championship Information

Field Limit: Lowest handicap indexes in multiples of 8 with a maximum of 88 players. In the event the championship becomes over-subscribed, entries will be accepted in order of handicap index based upon the July 1, 2019 USGA Handicap Revision.
Format:  The 32 players with the lowest qualifying scores will fill the Championship flight and contend for the title.  The remaining players will be divided into seven flights of eight based on handicap. The qualifying round is optional for all but the players with the 32 lowest handicap indexes. The 16 players eliminated in the first round of Championship flight match play may participate in an 18-hole Stroke Play consolation round.  In Flights 1-7, the four players eliminated in the first round will proceed to a consolation match play bracket.
What's Included: The entry fee includes greens, carts, and range fees for the practice round and all championship rounds. The entry fee also includes a championship gift, and lunch after stipulated tournament rounds. 
Hotel Information: Affinity Travel Hotels will provide hotel options for the 98th Women's Texas Amateur Championship.  Players and their families may utilize the player's GHIN Number to create and activate their account, gaining access to a wide variety of properties. Registration Information: Player registration will be held on Monday, July 15th between 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM outside the Golf Shop close to the Putting Green.  If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official at the host club that she is unable to make the registration deadline, but will be competing in the championship. Those players who have not contacted a TGA official by 3:30 PM are subject to forfeiting their playing position.    
Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Bent TreeCountry Club on Monday, July 15th. Players must contact the host club golf shop and identify themselves as 98th Women's Texas Amateur Championship Players to schedule a practice round. Players may call (972) 931-7326 to schedule their practice round starting Tuesday, July 9th. 
Prizes/Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the Champion and Runner-up in the Championship Flight. Flights 1-7 Champions, Runner-up and Consolation winners will be awarded.  Medalist for the qualifying round, as well as the Junior Medalist and Senior Meadlist will be awarded.  To qualify to be a Junior Medalist, your must be 19 years of age or younger by July 16, 2019.  To qualify to be a Senior Medalist, you must be 50 years of age or older by July 16, 2019.

Pairings Information:  Tee times / pairings for the first round will be posted on the TGA website by Friday, July 12th.
Transportation:  Players are encouraged to ride throughout the championship. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at a time and a maximum of two (2) carts per group.  Players MUST share carts if applicable.  Separate carts may be assigned for Championship Flight semi-final matches and Championship matches in all flights. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie for the competition, but caddies are not guaranteed a seat in carts. Caddies must abide by the host facility dress code. There are no Spectator Carts; however, those with ADA requirements may request the use of a medical cart throug the Texas Golf Association.  Riding on the back of the golf carts is prohibited.   

Electronic Measuring Devices:  Electronic devices that measure distance only are allowed for this championship.

USGA Groove Condition of Competition (Not in Effect): The USGA groove rules effective January 1, 2010 are NOT in effect for this competition.
