Entry Fee: $480 per team

Eligibility:  Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified GHIN Handicap Index. Please reference Policies and Procedures for further details. 
 
Championship Information

Player Field: The starting field will consist of 50 teams (100 players).  In the event the championship becomes over-subscribed, acceptance of entries will be based on the lowest combined team August 1, 2019 USGA Handicap Index. Maximum spread of partners index is 8.0.
 
Format: 36 Holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. Two competitors play as partners, each playing her own ball. The lowest score of the partners is the score for the hole. The 10 teams with the lowest combined hanicap indexes at the Four-Ball Championship will be required to play from the Championship Tees. All other teams will have a choice to play in the Championship Flight, playing the Championship Tees. Those who do not wish to play in the Championship Flight will be pre-flighted based on their combined handicpa indexes.Teams have the option to change their division up until Monday, August 5, 2019.
 
What's Included: The entry fee includes greens, cart and range fees for the practice and championship ground. The entry fee will also include lunch after championship rounds.
 
Registration Information:  All competitors must register with Texas Golf Association staff prior to the start of the championship. Players that do not register may be subject to disqualification. Official tournament registration will be held at the Bentwater Yacht & Country Club outside of the Board Room on Sunday, August 11th from 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM.  If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official at the host club that she is unable to make the registration deadline but will still be participating in the Championship. Those who have not contacted a TGA official by 3:30 PM are subject to forfeiting their playing position. Golf shop staff will forward phone calls regarding player registration to the assigned TGA staff person. 

 
Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Bentwater Yacht & Country Club on Sunday, August 11th. Players must contact the host club golf shop and identify themselves as 2019 Women’s Four-Ball players to schedule a practice round. Players may call (936) 597-6219 to schedule their practice round starting Friday, August 2nd.  Practice Rounds will begin at 12:00 PM, and players will be allowed to use the Practice Facilities starting at 7:00 AM on Sunday, August 11th.

Food & Beverage Service: The Clubhouse facilities at the Bentwater Yacht & County Club will be open daily at 6:00 AM.  Breakfast WILL be available for purchase throughout the week at the Snack Bar.  Bentwater Yacht & Country Club will accept CASH & CREDIT CARD, to purchase food and beverage during the Practice Round.  Lunch will be provided to players during stipulated tournament rounds.  Lunch will be available for purchase for spectators and caddies during stipulated tournament rounds. 

Practice Facilities: Practice Facilities at Bentwater Yacht & Country Club will be available to all competitors for the duration of the Championship. The practice facilities will open at 7:00 AM each day of the event. The driving range will close at 7:00 PM each day. 
  
Prizes/Awards:  Merchandise gift certificates redeemable at the host club pro shop will be awarded to the Overall Gross Champions and five flights with two gross and two net winners in each flight.
 
Policies & Procedures

Pairings Information:  Round 1 pairings will be available Friday, August 9th online (www.txga.org). Final round pairings will be available online following play of round 1.

Spectators: Spectators are permitted and welcome to attend the championship at no charge.  Spectators are asked to observe host club policies while attending the championship and practice appropriate golf etiquette.  Spectators must remain on or near the cart paths and away from play. Spectator (golf) carts will not be permitted; however, those with ADA requirements may request the use of a medical cart through the Texas Golf Association.  Approval for the use of a medical cart will be granted by a TGA staff member, contingent upon proper ADA documentation being provided and cart availability.  Individuals using a medical cart must follow the TGA medical cart guidelines provided at the time of approval, which may include but are not limited to authorization of a liability waiver, a nominal cart access fee and/or accessibility guidelines (i.e. staying on cart paths).  We encourage family and friends to attend, but please notify them in advance that there will not be carts available. 
 
Transportation:  Players are encouraged to ride throughout the championship. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at a time and a maximum of two (2) carts per group.  Players MUST share carts if applicable.  There are no Spectator Carts except as defined in the Spectator guidelines above.  Riding on the back of the golf carts is prohibited.

GHIN Posting: Both rounds of the tournament will automatically be posted as a “T-score” to your GHIN.  If a player does not complete a hole, she must record her most likely score for the hole with a “X” next to the number (Example: 7x).  Therefore, players DO NOT need to post their tournament scores for this event to avoid duplication.
 
Electronic Measuring Devices:  Electronic devices that measure distance only are allowed for this championship.

USGA Groove Condition of Competition (Not in Effect): The USGA groove rules effective January 1, 2010 are NOT in effect for this competition.
