Don’t Miss TGA Member Play Day At The Old American Golf Club

The next scheduled TGA Member Play Day will be held Monday, June 25, at The Old American GC north of Dallas.

Here’s a great opportunity for TGA members to enjoy a day of low-key competition on a course designed by Tripp Davis and 12-time PGA tour winner Justin Leonard, who, when designing Old American, drew inspiration from classics as Shinnecock Hills, National Golf Links, Pinehurst, Prairie Dunes and Crystal Downs.

Inspired by the ‘Golden Age’ of golf course architecture between 1911 and 1937, The Old American’s natural contours, hazard styles, native grasses and green shapes were influenced by the masterpieces of that era. The result is a golf course that emphasizes strategy and shot-making and flows with a natural rhythm from first tee to 18th green.

The TGA has added a competitive aspect to our play days; we will be using a four-ball format, with 2-player teams, and the best score of two on each hole counting as the team’s score.  This will be a net competition, using 80% of players’ handicaps.  You have the option of bringing your own partner along, or we will pair singles into teams.
