Championship Information
Format/Field Size: Each team will consist of 12 players representing the North and South Regions. Foursome and Four-Ball matches will be played on Day 1 (Monday), with Singles Matches being played on Day 2 (Tuesday).
Format: Outlined below is a summary of the forms of play and scoring method, which will be used to contest the 2021 Texas Shootout.
- Foursome Matches: A match in which two players play against two other players, and each side plays one ball. The partners shall play alternately from the teeing grounds (Player 1 – Odd # Holes, Player 2 – Even # Holes) and alternating during the play of the hole. Penalty strokes do not affect the order of play.
- Four-Ball Matches: A match in which two players play their better ball against the better ball of two other players.
- Single Matches: A match in which one player plays against another.
