One of life’s great accomplishments may be finding employment that is fun, exciting and fulfilling. The Bill Penn Internship Program provides high school golfers an introduction to the vast network of jobs, mentors and interests that the golf community provides. Prospective interns complete a thorough application process detailing their interests and goals and are interviewed by both the TGA representative and their prospective club. Once hired, interns work on a rotating schedule providing them with opportunities to work in multiple areas of club operations. As part of the club commitment, interns are also given opportunities to learn and play the game of golf. The clubs gain access to young people with a golf background to fill seasonal employment needs and up to $3,000 in grant funding from the TGA Foundation to offset the personnel costs. To apply see the details below.
Bill Penn was a previous Executive Director for the Texas Golf Association and a true ambassador of the game. His commitment to growing the game was demonstrated by a lifetime of giving to the game as a volunteer and professional golf administrator.
Please send your Resume and cover letter to Brian Fry at [email protected] We will start accepting Resumes on March 1st and the deadline is May 1st.
