New Changes to 2013 Medalist Series

The Texas Golf
Association is once again pleased to offer the TGA Medalist Series Events to
kick off the 2013 tournament season. Whether you’re a seasoned competitive
golfer or new to the game with an itch to test your skills against fellow golf
enthusiast, the Medalist Series Events offer the perfect mix of competitive
golf with a laidback feel. Offering multiple events in both North Texas and the
Hill Country areas, The TGA Medalist provides ample opportunities for our
amateur golfers to shake off the winter rust and get back into the swing of
tournament play without jumping straight into the Regional and State
Championships.

2013 Highlights 

*NEW* No Membership Fee – No membership fee is
required to compete in the TGA Medalist Series. All players are required to
have a valid GHIN Handicap through a TGA Member Club.

*NEW* Easy tournament registration through the
Texas Golf Association’s main website.

Handicaps are
available through the partnership with The Medalist Golf Association and
eClubhouse to provide golfers
 with an opportunity to join a club.

No Regional
Restrictions
– Players, despite residency location, are eligible to compete in
both the TGA Medalist North
 and the TGA Medalist Hill Country events.

Straightforward Format
– 36 holes of individual stroke play (no cut). Gross only.

Scheduling – All
events are played on Saturdays and Sundays and are scheduled early in the year.

Texas Mid-Amateur
Exemptions
– The Medalist Players of the Year in both North Texas and Hill
Country will receive automatic exemptions into the 2013 Texas Mid-Amateur, to
be held at Cordillera Ranch in Boerne, TX on Septemeber 26-29, 2013. The 2013

TGA Medalist schedule for both North Texas and Hill Country will be posted by
