Senior Player of the Year Points

The Texas Senior Player of the Year award will be given to the player that earns the most points through the calendar year. Points are earned through both Texas Golf Association championships and USGA qualifying and championships. Points can be earned from the following events: Texas Senior Amateur, Texas Amateur, Texas Mid-Amateur, Texas Four-Ball, Texas Mid-Amateur Match Play, West Texas Amateur, Regional Senior Amateur, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Senior Amateur and U.S. Mid-Amateur.

The Senior Player of the Year award will be given to the player that earns the most points through the calendar year. To be eligible for the award, a player must play in at least one (1) TGA event during the year and be 55 years of age or older. For events with multiple age divisions Senior Player of the Year points will only be split if the tie is with another Senior Player.

During the season, players will be able to view the current year’s point standings below. If there is a tie for the Senior Player of the Year, Co-Players of the Year will be named.
