Regional Player of the Year Points

The Regional Player of the Year points list is designated to recognize outstanding individual achievement, designate the Texas Shootout Team, and reward players for exceptional performance by granting exemptions into future TGA events. Points are awarded for Regional events only. Points can be earned from the following Regional events: Regional Amateur, Regional Mid-Amateur, Regional Four-Ball and West Texas Amateur.

The player earning the most points during the calendar year will be named Regional Player of the Year in their respective region and will receive the year-end award. Additionally, the Regional Player of the Year will also be awarded 400 points in the current TGA State Player of the Year points list.

The top four (4) players from each Regional points list will be named to the Texas Shootout team, and the top three (3) will also earn an automatic exemption into the following year’s Texas Amateur.
