History of the TGA Volunteer Program
The Texas Golf Association was formed in 1906 with the mission to protect and serve the game in the state of Texas.
The TGA Volunteer Program was established in 2005 with only a handful of volunteers. Today, the program proudly boasts a roster of over 250 men and women, including several who also serve on USGA boards and committees.
In 2020, 85 TGA Championship Volunteers worked at least one day at a tournament in their area and our Course Rating teams rated 112 courses across the state of Texas.
“IT’S ALL PART OF GIVING BACK TO THE GAME WE ALL LOVE.”
