WTGA Eclectic Round 2

Austin, Texas- The 2014 WTGA Eclectic was held February 24-25 at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.  The fun format allows the players to take their best 18 hole score over the 36 holes played in 2 days.

UT Golf Club proved to be a little more forgiving the 2nd day.  Austin received some much needed rain which helped with the green speed and made for a much easier day in Round 2.  The course was set at 5319 yards, but played like a 5900 course.  UT is known for its tough, yet very scenic layout.
It was a tight finish for overall gross 2nd place, as we had quite a few 71 eclectic scores come in.  However, the first place champion, Anna Morales (Austin), ran away with the title shooting a 67 two day Eclectic score. Morales held the lead both days and beat Anna Schultz (Rockwall) who was going for her 4th Eclectic win.
The Eclectic also awards an Overall Net champion.  This year Wanda Ramiller (Austin) ran away with that title scoring a 56 Eclectic Net score.  Congratulations to all of our winners and be sure to check out our scoring and results HERE.
WTGA thanks the University of Texas GC staff, our volunteers and our rules officials for making this event such a success.
