Wood and Hare Lead Texas Stableford Handicap Championship

KERRVILLE – Denny Wood and Rick Hare take the Overall lead at 12.5 points over their quota after Round Two of the Texas Stableford Handicap Championship at Riverhill CC.
 
Wood and Hare, who also lead the Hogan Flight, finished the day with 67 points, 12.5 over quota for the tournament. Denny and Rick, both from Montgomery, combined for seven birdies and 18 pars. They lead their flight by 11 points over the First Round leaders, Dan Nelson and James Cowther. Nelson and Crowther fell back to Third Overall for the championship. 
 
Patrick Powers and Phillip Powers are Second Overall with a Round Two total of 58 points, 6.5 over quota for the tournament. Patrick, of Mansfield, and Phillip, of Dallas, combined for five birdies and 14 pars. The Powers lead the Nelson Flight by 5.5 points over Don Cole and Michael Mowles.
 
In the Crenshaw Flight, Kerry Culberson and Keith Wenske had a total of 51 to get them back to even on their quota. Culberson and Wenske lead the team of Tony Gann and Korby Keeny by seven points. 
 
In the Kite Flight, Cody Davis and Jeremy Stover carded 29 points, 10 over their quota for the day, to get back to a total of 2 under quota. Davis and Stover are followed by the team of Bobby Tutor and Wayne Bryant.
 
The Final Round of the Texas Stableford Handicap Championship will begins Sunday at Riverhill CC at 8:00 am off of the 1st and 10th tee. Hare and Wood will try to maintain their lead at 9:30am off the first tee.
