History of the TGA Volunteer Program

The Texas Golf Association was formed in 1906 with the mission to protect and serve the game in the state of Texas.

The Volunteer Program of the TGA was formed in 2005 with only a handful of volunteers. Today, the program proudly hosts a roster of 250 men and women including several on USGA boards and committees.

In 2019, 120 TGA Volunteers worked at least one day at a tournament in their area.
