Mid-Amateur, Mid-Amateur Match Play And West Texas Entries Now Open

West Texas, Match Play, and Mid-Amateur entries are now open. The West Texas Amateur will be held at San Angelo CC (July 19-21); Oak Hills CC hosts the Mid-Amateur Match Play (July 25-28); and Cordillera Ranch will welcome the State Mid-Amateur (Sept 27-29).

The USGA has unveiled a new public education campaign around the theme of “While We’re Young,” that takes a lighthearted approach to encourage golfers and golf course facilities to join a movement to reduce the time it takes to play the game.

Get Ready…Play Ready is a TGA initiative to help educate golfers on Pace of Play. Whether it is in a TGA championship, a Legends Junior Tour event or just a round at your club, we hope that everyone will join us as we Get Ready…Play Ready.

There are two ways an individual can become a TGA member: 1) Apply in person at one of 400+ Member Clubs near one's home or work, or 2) Join online at txga.org by selecting a "home" club from a list of participating Member Clubs located across the state.
