Entries Open May 24 For Last Chance Qualifying-Texas Amateur

Online registration for the Last Chance Qualifying - Texas Amateur will open Friday, May 24, at 9:00 a.m. and close on Friday, May 31, at 5:00 p.m. or when the field limit of 84 players has been reached. The Last Chance Qualifying will be held Monday, June 3, at Riverbend CC in Sugar Land.

Starting Times For State Public Links

The 2013 State Public Links will be held May 30 – June 2 at Avery Ranch GC in Austin. Starting times are now available for the 18-hole qualifying on Thursday, May 30. The low 32 players will advance to the match play portion of the championship which runs Friday through Sunday.

TGA Offices Closed Monday, May 27

The Texas Golf Association’s Main Office and South Office will be closed Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day. Both offices will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28.

Final Results From The 2013 Trans-Miss Senior Amateur

Corky Nelson of Dallas carded rounds of 73-73-71 to claim the 14th Trans-Miss Senior Amateur title. Larry Walsh of Mountain City, Texas, won the Super Senior Division on the third playoff hole, and Tom Brown of La Jolla, California, won the Legends Division for players 75 and over.

2013 Texas Amateur Qualifying

The 2013 Texas Amateur presented by Insperity will be contested June 13-16 at Lakeside Country Club in Houston. Tee-times and pairings for the eighteen statewide qualifyings can be accessed by clicking on the “Read More” link below.

With 40 Member Clubs signed up for State League Play, there will be plenty of matches to follow during the regular season, which runs from March 21 to May 11. Conference winners will advance to the playoffs at Horseshoe Bay Resort from May 31-June 2.
