Starting times for the first two rounds of the 2014 Texas Mid-Amateur are now available and have been posted to the website. The 54-hole event will be played September 19-21 on the Tom Fazio-designed Escondido Golf & Lake Club in Horseshoe Bay.
Entries are now being accepted for the 2014 Women’s Senior Stroke Play. The championship will be held Oct. 20-22 at Fair Oaks Ranch G&CC. The format is 54-hole stroke play with three age division competing: Senior, Super Senior, and Super-Super Senior.
A total of 12 boys and girls from six First Tee chapters in Texas made it through the pressure-packed national selection process and earned a trip to California from Sept. 26-28, when they’ll tee it up with the stars of the Champions Tour for The Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.
The Legends Junior Tour’s 2013 Texas Cup starting field was ranked as the nation's 35th strongest by Golfweek in their rolling-year cycle that includes over 300 ranked tournaments based on the strength of the field. The LJT has had 10 fields ranked inside the top 100.
