Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: September 8th, 2021 @ 9:00 AM
Entries Close: October 20th, 2021 @ 5:00 PM
Withdraw Date: October 20th, 2021 @ 5:00 PM

Entry Fee: $480 per team

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified WHS Handicap Index. Please reference Policies and Procedures for further details.

Entry Procedure: Entries accepted in order of entry except if the event is oversubscribed in the first 24 hours. In this case, the field will be filled by blind draw from the entries returned during the first 24 hours. Any player not drawn will be placed on the waiting list in blind draw order. All subsequent entries will be placed on the waiting list in order of entry.

Championship Information

Player Field: The field is limited to 50 teams.

Format: The championship will be 36-holes of Chapman Stroke Play (also known as Pinehurst Format). Two players play as partners, each playing from the teeing ground and each playing her partner’s ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and play the ball alternately to complete the hole. The field will be preflighted by combined handicap index.

What’s Included: The entry fee includes greens fees, cart fees and range fees for the practice round and all championship rounds. The entry fee will also include a championship tee gift, and lunch after Rounds 1 and 2.

Hotel Information: There is no host hotel for the Women’s Texas Pinehurst. TGA Members can take advantage of Affinity Travel Benefits by utilizing their hotel search engine by clicking here.

Registration Information: There will be no player registration. Player can pick up their tee gift in scoring following the first round.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Lady Bird Golf Course on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Players must contact the host club golf shop at (830) 997-4010 starting October 24th and identify themselves as 2021 Women’s Texas Pinehurst players to schedule a practice round.

Pairings Information: Pairings for Round 1 will be made available online at www.txga.org no later than Friday, October 29, 2021 at 5:00 PM. Final Round pairings will be made available online following play of Round 1.

Prizes/Awards: Merchandise gift certificates redeemable at the host club golf shop will be awarded to the Overall Champions and First through Third in each flight.

Policies & Procedures

To ensure that competitors have the best possible experience when competing in the championship, it is helpful to be knowledgeable of Texas Golf Association (TGA) Policies and Procedures, Terms of Competition and Local Rules (Hard Card), as established by the association. Caddies: Caddies are not permitted during the championship.

Transportation: Players are encouraged to ride carts during all championship rounds. Cart fees for all championship rounds are included in the entry fee. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at one time and two (2) carts per group.

USGA Groove Condition of Competition (Condition NOT in Effect): The USGA Groove Rules effective January 1st, 2010, are NOT in effect for this competition.

TGA Medical Cart Request Policy

Spectator carts are prohibited. However, spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided.
