Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: June 14, 2021 @ 9:00 a.m.
Entries Close: July 28, 2021 @ 5:00 p.m.
Exempt Deadline: July 28, 2021 @ 5:00 p.m.

Entry Fee: $480 per team

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified WHS Handicap Index. Please reference TGA Women’s Policies and Procedures for further details, including Policies and Procedures, and Terms of Competition.

Entry Procedure: In the event the championship becomes over-subscribed, acceptance of entries will be bases on the lowest combined team WHS Handicap Index on July 28, 2021.

Championship Information

Field Size: The field is limited to 50 teams.

Format: 36 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. Two competitors play as partners, each playing her own ball. The lowest score of the partners is the score for the hole. The 10 teams with the lowest combined handicap indexes at the Four-Ball Championship will be required to play from the Championship Tees. All other teams will have a choice to play in the Championship Flight, playing the Championship Tees. Those who do not wish to play in the Championship Flight will be pre-flighted based on their combined handicap indexes. Maximum spread of partners’ index of 8.0 will be used for the purpose of creating flights and scoring.

Teams have the option to change their division up until Monday, August 2, 2021 at 5:00 PM.

What’s Included: The championship entry fee includes greens, cart and range fees for the practice and championship rounds. The entry fee will also include lunch after championship rounds.

Hotel: There is no host hotel for the 2021 Women’s Four-Ball. TGA Members can take advantage of Affinity Travel Benefits by utilizing their hotel search engine by clicking here.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Royal Oaks Country Club on Sunday, August 8. Players must contact the golf shop starting July 29th and identify themselves as 2021 Women’s Four-Ball players to schedule a practice round.

Registration Information: There is no player registration for the 2021 Women’s Four-Ball Championship. Players may pick up their tee gift in scoring after the first round.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: Round 1 pairings will be available following registration online at www.txga.org by Friday, August 6 at 5:00 PM. Final round pairings will be available online following Round 1.

Policies & Procedures

To ensure that competitors have the best possible experience when competing in the championship, it is helpful to be knowledgeable of Texas Golf Association (TGA) Policies and Procedures, Terms of Competition and Local Rules (Hard Card), as established by the association. Caddies: Caddies are not permitted during the championship.

TGA Cart Policy: Players are encouraged to ride throughout the championship. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at a time and a maximum of two (2) carts per group. Players MUST share if applicable. Riding on the back of the golf carts is prohibited.

TGA Medical Cart Request Policy

Spectators carts are prohibited. However, spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided.
