Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 9:00 AM
Exempt Entry Deadline: Monday, July 15, 2024 at 5:00 PM
Entries Close: Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 5:00 PM
Entry Fee: $340

Eligibility: Players must have a current membership with a member of the Texas Junior Golf Alliance. Players can renew or sign up with the Northern Texas PGA or the Southern Texas PGA membership to be eligible.

Exemptions: Players will be added to the field according to the Exemption Based Entry procedures immediately following the close of registration. For more information on the exemption based entry procedures, please check the LJT Eligibility & Entry Procedures.

The LJT reserves the right to select players to be in the field. For exemption request details, please view LJT Competition Policies. Exempt players must enter by the published deadline or they will lose their exempt status and spot in the final field.

Championship Information

Format/Field Size: Play will be contested over 36 holes of individual stroke play. The field is limited to 84 players.

Divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 14 & Under, Girls 12-18

Practice Round Information: Players will be responsible for making their own tee times with the University of Texas Golf Club . The official practice round date is Sunday, August 11 (tee block from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM). Players may arrive no earlier than one hour before their practice round tee time. The fee is $25 plus an additional $5 cart fee. Carts will be available to players only for Sunday’s practice rounds. Players must meet club requirements to operate a cart, which are 16 years of age and a valid driver’s license. Please call the golf shop at (512) 266-6464 to schedule your practice round time.

Registration Information: Registration will be held outside the golf shop on Sunday, August 11 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Players that fail to register prior to their first round tee time will receive their tee gift in scoring following round one.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: Starting times/pairings for the first round will be available Friday, August 9 online at www.txga.org. Final round starting times/pairings will be available in the evening preceding play (approximately one hour after the completion of play) online at www.txga.org. Final round starting times/pairings will be re-drawn based on total score following the previous rounds of play.

Caddies: Players will be permitted a caddie for the George Hannon Junior Invitational. The caddie must not be the parent or legal guardian of the player and the players is responsible for providing the caddie for the event.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Players may withdraw themselves from the field and receive a refund up until 10 days before the first round. If you need to withdraw, please contact the Tournament Director and they will instruct you on how to complete the WD. For full refund details, please reference the LJT Competition Policies.

Transportation: Players will be required to walk during the competition, unless acting under the direction of an LJT Rules Official. Non-motorized push/pull carts will be permitted during the championship. Spectator carts will be permitted for the championship and must be rented from the club.

Score Posting: The LJT will post all scores for individual stroke play events to players GHIN number. Players are asked to not post scores for individual LJT stroke play events as it will result in a duplicate posting.

Rules of Golf

The Championship will be contested under the 2023 Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and R&A, its interpretations and clarifications, 2024 Legends Junior Tour Local Rules and Terms of Competition and any local rules give to the player on their first tee.
